Well, what can I say… Bond, James Bond is a literary and cinematographic phenomenon that for me has been delight to have been associated with.

I’m not sure what came first for me, the books or the films, but both enthralled me as a boy - it was the action, glamour, gadgets and the witty sophistication of my fictional hero James Bond that gave me and millions of others enormous pleasure; and still does to this day. Sadly some of the key people in this story are no longer with us: Ian Fleming, Cubby Broccoli and Harry Saltzman, but I hope this modest personal collection will showcase some of their legacy and give fans, new and old, of James Bond some of the undoubted pleasure the character has given me.

Ian Fleming’s Bond will, I’m sure go on in many forms for many years to come and the franchise is now in the very capable hands of the Fleming family, Barbara Broccoli, Michael Wilson and family, so I am sure that 007, James Bond will continue to go on from strength to strength for many years to come.

The museum opened to the public on a very significant date of the 5th April 2009 which amazingly is the centenary of Albert R. "Cubby" Broccoli's birth, and for me it could not be a more fitting date to open because this museum has been built with you, the fans of James Bond very much in mind, and Cubby was always keen to please the fans of 007 at any cost, so I very much hope you all enjoy really it.
