Goldeneye

After a lengthy delay, Bond burst back onto our screens bigger and better than ever, in one of my personal favourite Bond films. It’s back to the Connery-style formula, with humour, glamour, action, wit, sophistication, girls adventure, gadgets, and cars!

Every home should have one! A genuine Russian T-55 Tank (above) and General Ouromov's black Volga (left)
Russian T-55 Tank

The museum is proud to own both of the actual vehicles in possibly one of the most imaginative Bond vehicle chase sequences ever – that of General Ouromov’s Volga and the T55 Russian Battle Tank!

Along side these we have some of the late great Derek Meddings pieces, the model tank and Mig fighters, as well as numerous other items.

Cagiva Motorcycle

This is an Italian motorbike that Bond uses to escape from Ouromov and the chemical weapons facility in the pre-credit sequence by jumping off the runway and then freefalling after the pilotless aeroplane.

This is the actual bike used in the film.

Pierce Brosnan's first Bond car is the Aston Martin DB5 making a welcome return
Aston Martin DB5

As a homage to earlier Bond films, GoldenEye features the return of the 1960s DB5.
Because of its association with Bond it was
used for Bond's evaluation scene and subsequent race into Monte Carlo against the Ferrari F355 of Xenia Onatopp. It could be interpreted that the Aston is Bond's personal car that he uses on his days off.

Still such a popular car that it also appears briefly in the next two films.

THE FILM

Starring Pierce Brosnan, Sean Bean, Isabella Scorupco, Famke Janssen, Robbie Coltrane,
Joe Don Baker and Judi Dench as M.
