Moonraker

Drax Moonraker
Space Shuttle

An extravagant ‘out of this World’, film whose main vehicles are a space station and the Drax space shuttle. The space shuttle on display here is the actual one used in the film that ferries the marines into space at the end of the film. This film marked the beginning and end of Bonds ‘relationship’ with science fiction, but like all Bond films it is cleverly and superbly a product of it’s time.

THE FILM
1979. Directed by Lewis Gilbert.
Starring Roger Moore, Michael Lonsdale,
Lois Chiles, Richard Kiel.

SOUNDTRACK
Music by John Barry.
Main theme sung by Shirley Bassey
